Get Creative with Tinkering & Invention!
Whether you’re a budding inventor, a curious tinkerer, or just love getting creative, you’re in the right place!
We offer a range of workshops for children and families. We work with arts organisations, festivals, events and schools. Plus, our learning resource lets you enjoy curated online creative-making and tinkering experiences from the comfort of your home.
Workshops
Our in-person workshops can be customised to fit the needs of individual organisations or events. They provide children with a unique opportunity to combine traditional craft-making with digital materials through hands-on exploration and play. Participants engage in creative problem-solving, learn about circuits, and design something meaningful to them.
Want to explore, create, and innovate? Join us for an unforgettable hands-on experience!
Learning Resources for Schools & Parents
At Makers of Imaginary Worlds, we’ve created a collection of free, arts-based learning resources for parents and educators. These resources are designed to show how art and design can inspire young people and enhance learning across various subjects.
In addition to these resources, we offer a range of creative play sessions for Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and STEAM/STEM workshops for Key Stages 1 & 2.
Our learning materials are inspired by our Art Installations, which you can explore in the ‘Projects’ section.

Sensory Room Co-Design at Rosehill School
This video showcases the highlights of a special project at Rosehill School, carried out between March and May 2024. During this time, we collaborated with students—aged 4 to 19 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)—to co-design a permanent sensory room. Through creative exploration and teamwork, we worked together to shape a space that is engaging, inclusive, and meaningful for the students.
